MINUTES OF THE FIFTY-EIGHTH STATED MEETING

February 22 and 23, 2008
At 5:45pm on Friday, February 22, 2008, Moderator Fred Granade welcomed the Commissioners and visitors and began the meeting with a prayer and blessing. A wonderful supper was served by the members of Spanish Fort Church.
QUORUM AND ADOPTION OF DOCKET
The Stated Clerk, Samford Turner, declared that a quorum was present and the Presbytery adopted the docket as presented.

WELCOME AND INTRODUCTIONS
Elders attending the meeting of Presbytery for the first time and visitors were introduced and visitors were given the privilege of the floor.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES
The Presbytery approved the minutes of the Stated Meeting of Presbytery of October 26 and 27, 2007 as they had been mailed out.
The Stated Clerk read the Necrology Report and led prayers of thanksgiving for the Elders who joined the Church Triumphant in 2007:

ADMINISTRATION DIVISION
During supper, the Administration Division report was made and the following actions were taken on the recommendations of the Division: 1) The 2007 Year-End Financial Statements were approved as received. 2) The 2008 Budget was received and approved. Each of these items is attached to these minutes (Pages 287-291).
In addition, the recommendation as to the request from the Union Church in Arguta, AL to sell 40 acres (not adjacent to the 68 acres upon which the Church and their cemetery sit) of their over 300 acres of property was approved by the Presbytery. The recommendation as to the final disbursements of the Capital Fund Campaign was also approved. That approved recommendation is also attached to these minutes (Page 292).

The Coordinating Division presented the following nominees:
